Germany Student Visa Process
Step 1
Once you obtain Admission approval or acceptance from the University in Germany you must book a Visa appointment at the Consulate of Germany at the earliest. You must try to book the clot as early as possible as during peak application times the availability is very low.
Step 2
You must arrange all the necessary documents and begin preparing the Germany Student Visa application after you receive the confirmation of the Visa appointment by email. The Consulate will offer you entry 15 minutes prior to the slot allotted to you. You must carry the appointment letter and your passport.
Step 3
You must carry 2 sets of the applications inclusive of photocopies of all the specified documents that have to be submitted.
Step 4
The Consulate has dedicated Visa Officers for the Germany Student Visa also known as the National Visa.
The documents will be arranged at the VAC as per their guidelines and you will be asked to complete 3 extra documents. These are:
1. Questionnaire
2. Checklist
3. Declaration
The questionnaire consists of written questions that can be asked by the Visa Officer at the Consulate/Embassy during the Visa Interview. A few of the common questions include:
Step 5
You have to make payment by card or cash for the specified amount and the VAC staff will guide you to the concerned person who will take you to the biometric section. This is the final step and you will return to the first counter at the VAC. The concerned staff will ask you to sign the declaration letter and then you may exit from the VAC.
